  The men costumes

The "burgisi" was a rich landowner inhabitant in the village, the dress is weared for the festivity, for the wedding or important events like baptisms or religious festivities, important reunions or for mournings .

The custom is composed from a jacket called "buggiacca" and from a gillet called "cilleccu". Around the half of the 1800’s a touch of elegance was given to the dress in the design when the "buggiacca" take a tailoring like the "cilleccu"; that has given a touch of distinction and high fashion of the age. The trousers, to half leg still with the influencs of the Spanish domination with lateral split to cover the stockings mades by hand for the women with cotton. All the custom is adorned with silver buttons.
